Dress for your bodies, ladies!

clothing

If you’re a Pear:

You’ve got a fabulous waistline, so accentuate it!

  1. Jackets should be bomber style and short, avoiding the hip area, because then you just look all wrong and that does not compliment your body what-so-ever
  2. Skirts should be tapered at the hem so you don’t look like you just gave birth to Triplets
  3. Pants should fit lower wasted
  4. Tops should be fitted and tailored

If you’re Round:

You got a big bust, but that doesn’t mean you need to hide them! You’re probably narrower in the hips and have lean legs, so there is hope for you round ladies.

  1. Stay away from empire waste lines.  For the love of god, stay away!
  2. Avoid tops that are tight fitting because they accentuate your larger, top heavy shape
  3. Do not buy those cutesy little tiny handbags.  All they do is make you look larger
  4. Keep those handbags at the waist and hip level
  5. V-necks are flattering as they elongate your neck

If you’re Straight:

You have an upper and lower torso that are equal in width, an average bust, a large rib cage, undefined waist, flat bottom, and slender legs. Your legs are a great asset so show them off!

  1. Avoid belts which will accentuate your thicker waist.
  2. Dresses that are looser in the mid-section are a great option. Try a sheath dress or shirtdress type style!
  3. Try v-necklines which are slenderizing and elongate the neck. Any neckline that falls below the collarbone will help to elongate your neck.
  4. Try longer jackets with a shorter skirt to help visually lengthen the upper torso.
  5. Dropped waist skirts elongate the upper torso and will help slenderize.
  6. Avoid very gathered or heavily pleated fabric at the waist.
  7. Try straight long tailored skirts paired with a longer tunic top or semifitted pants/jeans with a longer top.

If you’re an Hour Glass:

Characterized by a pronounced bust, small bone structure, a defined waist, curved hips, sometimes protuding buttocks, and shapely legs. You've got curves, so show them off!
