Men: How to achieve consistency with your body, your style and your pocket book
by MeyMey (February 28, 2007) A famous quote that we’re all aware of is “all men were created equal”. Yet when it comes to a man’s clothing and body, that avowal is far from true. Boys, boys, boys, its not just the women who need to worry about their body type, so do you! I don’t expect you to stop honoring your existing style, I am however asking you to please, for the love of women, dress according to your body type! Read on, and learn how to dress consistent with your body, your style and your pocket book, as opposed to trying to dictate tomorrow’s fashion. MeyMey will get you there. If you are thick and have a little “bulk” going on: STEP AWAY FROM THAT RACK OF HORIZONTAL STRIPED SHIRTS! If you’re short: A little heel on a square toed heel is not the worst idea, think about it. Avoid huge prints on t-shirts and pants, you’ll not accentuate your height, or lack there of, but you’ll also look horrendously ridiculous. Put on a cool funky neck piece so our eyes can focus elsewhere. Low rise jeans and pants are really in style. Not only for the ladies, but for men too, so I recommend you invest in a great pair of low rise pants if you’re vertically challenged. Choose a great skinny tie, it elongates your torso and creates a taller look.- not to mention super stylin. If you’re on the slim side or boarder line scrawny: I truly suggest avoiding vertical stripes and pin striped suites with turtle necks.
STAYING GROOMED IS NOT THAT HARD BOYS! You don’t have to go crazy with the tweezers, but a few plucks here and there are not going to hurt you. If you have that god awful uni-brow, I suggest you do something about it. And fast! Ask your girl friend, your friend who’s a girl, your metro-sexual homeboy, anyone, just get on it. You can also stop in a salon and get it done for about 9 bucks. Not too shabby and a small price to pay for taming an unacceptable uni-brow. Hmm, what else? You’re not off the hook yet. Lets deal with your hair. Make sure you get regular haircuts. Unless you have a cool shag that doesn’t need to be groomed every 6 weeks, make sure you stay on a routine of proper haircuts. Throw some product in your hair for some taming if you need it, there’s nothing wrong with it. And lastly boys, make sure those outfits are cute and don’t hesitate to splash some great cologne on. I don’t ask too much of you. You have a much easier job than us ladies, so you truly have no excuse for not looking great 75% of the time (I make exceptions for hangover breakfast outings and the like). Its really quite simple. Keet it cute boys! - Meytal Algranti About the Author
